Movie Review - Water For Elephants

This film that adaptation from novel, with the same title Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen, published on May,26th 2006 (1st edition). This film was famous in 2011. The genre of this story is romance but this movie showed many moral value.

This story tells about old story by a old man that visited to a circus place and in there he told about a young man who called Jacob, Jacob Jankowski. He was growth with his rich parents and they were so lovely with Jacob. Jacob was a veterinary student. But, an accident happened when he got closer to his last examination. His parents got crash and they died in their location. This incident changed Jacob’s life. He failed to take final exam and all of parents’s property seizured by the court because his parents had many debts. Jacob frustrated, he did not have anything besides his cloth and the things that brought in his suitcase. He saw a train that would come and he jumped to the train. He did not that was a circus train.

In that train he met a old man, who cared about Jacob’s condition, and then he also met a man who has that circus, his named August, he was very ambitious to get a lot of money but he never care about his animals. August as a owner of the circus always treated his animal with crude and never gave a good food. And then Jacob got a job to be a faces animal cleaner and someday Jacob met Marlena who is wife of August in horse stable. But, in that time Marlena was sad because her horse got serious condition and Jacob decided to kill Marlena’s horse moreover the horse got agony. August was very angry of Jacob’s choice. And then August gave Marlena a new animal, He was a bull elephants that named Rosie. At the time, Marlena and Jacob began a partner to take care of Rosie. Rosie always got punch and push by August because Rosie wouldn’t follow his order. But, Rosie always followed anything else that Jacob’s order because Jacob understand what Rosie’s what and done. Since, Jacob and Marlena seldom met in Rosie’s stable. Jacob fell in love with Marlena and Marlena scared that August known what her truly felling to Jacob, if she also fell in love with Jacob.

After training was done. Rosie was ready to show the circus. Moreover, August knew about the relationship between Jacob and Marlena, he was so angry and he planned to make them confess and in different situation many worker who always got bad treatment from August very angry and supported Jacob to kill August. The circus show was began, in there was very crowed because one of animal was bolt from the stable. But Rosie was helping Marlena and Jacob to kill August by using buttress of circus tent. A circus was bangkrupt and Marlena married with Jacob. They was life together happily ever after.
